Biography

Bri was born and raised in Omaha, NE. Her fitness certifications include: CrossFit Level 1, CrossFit Aerobic Capacity, CrossFit Gymnastics, CrossFit Weightlifting, Nutrition Coaching Institute Level 1 (NCI-L1), NASM-CPT, CPR/AED, and Fitness Nutrition Specialization.

Growing up, Bri was a pretty big tomboy and always thought she’d be playing competitive sports as she got older, but somehow, she found dance and then later cheerleading, and stuck with that during high school. Bri’s dream, for years, was to be a Dallas Cowboy cheerleader…funny how things change.

Bri says she didn’t really grow up in a household where her parents pushed her to do sports or anything, but whatever she did, she always worked hard at it. It’s always been natural for Bri to give her all and to push others around her to do the same. When she got to college, that still hadn’t changed. Bri was originally going to school for writing, trying not to gain the “freshmen 15”, and quickly realized that she needed to do something different for a living if she wanted to be happy.

During her second year of college, after switching majors for the second time, Bri came across an ad to try CrossFit. She had no idea what it was, but it sounded like a new change from her fitness routine at that time – a lot of high intensity and ZERO barbell! “I walked into a gym that was freezing because there was no heat, graffiti on the walls, and a few guys and girls doing these weird pull ups with their shirts off and sweating everywhere. I hadn’t even started yet, but I knew that it was going to be something I loved.” The next week, Bri brought in a year’s membership worth of cash and told the coach that she wanted to compete in CrossFit. Ever since, she has done everything she can to better her fitness every day.

COMPETITIVE EDGE:
2018 CrossFit Games Central Regional Team
2017 CrossFit Team Series: 7th Worldwide
2016 CrossFit Games Central Regional Team

I CROSSFIT BECAUSE: I don’t feel satisfied living in a “comfort zone.” CrossFit constantly pushes me to be better in and out of the gym and I hope to inspire others to want the same for themselves.

I COACH BECAUSE: It is so rewarding to see somebody do something that they once thought was impossible. I love to help people see that their capacity in fitness, and in life, is much greater than their own expectations. And it’s one of the greatest feelings when you see someone start to realize that.
